La Paz - Charazani - Curva
Starting from La Paz in vehicle, going toward the majestic highlands. The road goes down gently to join with the provincial route Apolobamba. Then we take the route south of the mountains, with beautiful views, to reach the village of Charazani for lunch. We continue the journey to la Curva (3700 m), a small and charming town, built in stone with thatched roof (8 hours). Camp around the lagoon.
Trek Curva - Jatunpampa
Start of the climb between ravines and Andean crops. amazing show with background view to imposing hill Akamani, sacred mountain of the Kalawayas. To the sides, a succession of splendid snowy hills. The road to Jatupampa continue straight through a deep valley. Camp (3/4 hours).
Trek Jatupampa - Cascadas de Incachani
We leave Jatunpampa on a path that will take us to the foot of the glacier. After enjoying lunch, we are ready to go down to the Inca ruins of Kanchi. Camp near the waterfalls (4200 meters - 5 hours).
Día 4 Trek Incachani - Sunchulli
Starting from the waterfalls, we take a path where begins a gentle but constant ascent. The road runs along an icy water that goes down to the valley Sunchilli. The campsite is 4500 meter high.
Trek Sunchulli - Hillo Hillo
Starting from Sunchulli mines to the Apacheta (5100 m). The entire branch of the Apolobamba mountain range can be seen from this point. The way down is interesting with endless streams flowing down from the mountains, dragging in its waters the thaw of the mountains. Camp near the village of Hillo - Hillo.
Trek Hillo - Hillo - Pelechuco
The last day of descent to Pelechuco is fairly light. The rare air of the altitude slowly vanish, replaced by a wet valley with wild flowers along the way. Here the pre-Columbian road makes its appearance resembling a large alley that leads to the village of Pelechuco, the Aymara Punu Kucho (= where sleeps the fog). Night accommodation.
Pelechuco - Ulla Ulla - La Paz
Starting from Pelechuco, we take a vehicle to cross the Altiplanicas regions of Ulla Ulla and Apolobamba. It's a wild region with little traffic even if its mountains are of a rare splendour. (9/10 hours). Hotel in La Paz (Dinner not included).
